The Arsenal Gallery in Białystok, in collaboration with the antiwarcoalition.art platform, presents the video screening program "Are You Here With Us".
In addition to this direct support, the program focuses on gestures of solidarity from artists toward regions suffering from war and political repression, such as Belarus, Ukraine, and other places where human rights and freedoms are under threat. These screenings aim to bridge the geographical and emotional distances between those living in relative peace and those enduring ongoing conflict and suppression. By showcasing works from artists deeply connected to these regions, the program highlights the role of art as a form of resistance, care, and mutual support.
Through video works, the program creates a platform for artists to amplify the stories of those living through war and repression, fostering a sense of collective responsibility and interconnectedness. In this way, "Are You Here With Us" extends beyond a simple exhibition, becoming a powerful gesture of cross-border solidarity and a testament to the importance of cultural and artistic dialogue in times of crisis.
Schedule:
02.10, 09.10, 30.10 – From 10:00 to 17:30 at the Arsenal Gallery in Białystok.
Each of the three video programs, curated by the Arsenal Gallery, features selections from the antiwarcoalition.art platform, offering a poignant look at the intersection of art, activism, and solidarity in a world fraught with violence and repression.
The programme is part of the annual antiwarcoalition.art theme Sense of Safety || Lets Dream We Are Equal.
