Safety is not merely a feeling but a collective practice---an infrastructure built, maintained, and upheld by people who often find themselves in unsafe and vulnerable conditions. The program "Safety as Collective Practice" features artworks that explore the ambivalent nature of safety as well as the elements that create this sense of security.

This program is directly connected to the exhibition Sense of Safety in Kharkiv, continuing a conversation about safety that began on the frontline of war but is equally relevant here in Leipzig. Across different geographies, the safety concern becomes a site of anxiety, dreams, and collective effort. These efforts to ensure safety while also feeling the ground slip beneath one's feet form an essential unifying force and a glue for trans-local solidarity.

All the works presented in Leipzig are part of the antiwarcoalition.art platform.
