Taras Kamennoy

Taras Kamennoy (born 1985 in Kharkiv, Ukraine; based in Vysoke, Kharkiv region) is a contemporary artist known for his work in monumental art, painting, and installation. He graduated from the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Fine Arts and has been a resident scholar at KulturKontakt Austria and the Gaude Polonia program in Poland. Kamennoy has been shortlisted for the Pinchuk Art Prize twice, in 2011 and 2018. His notable exhibitions include "Synthetic Pain" at the YermilovCenter in Kharkiv and "Neighbors" in Warsaw. He was a participant in such group exhibitions as "Dying to Work", Zherelo Pavilion, Kyiv (2021), "Paid color. Advertising", Fluk, Vienna (2018) and others. He has implemented a number of personal projects, namely "Body of KhHN (Kharkiv Heat Networks)", "I am a Ukrainian worker", Labyrinth Gallery, Lublin (2016) and other. Taras projects often explore themes of labor and social issues.
